Are You or Your Teen /Young Adult Struggling Despite All Your Efforts?
You've noticed the patterns:
Daily tasks feel impossible - getting ready, managing responsibilities, staying organized is a constant battle
Nervous system is on edge - anxiety, stress, difficulty calming down or feeling safe
Can't seem to get started - even on things they want to do, they freeze, avoid, or give up
Executive function skills are missing - planning, organizing, time management, following through—it's just not clicking
Social situations are lonely - they want friends and connection but don't know how to find their people
Feeling isolated - spending too much time alone, not participating in activities, missing out on the social experiences that build confidence
Traditional therapy hasn't been enough - talking about problems doesn't build the skills or connections they need
Wanting to feel capable, confident, and connected. But need more than weekly office visits, someone who can teach practical skills that will actually be used, helping the nervous system feel safe, and creating opportunities to connect with peers who "get it."
The good news? You have options, one-on-one coaching, group programs, or a combination that fits you or your young person's needs.
Four Powerful Ways to Support Growth
I'm Rebecca, and I offer four specialized services that work together (or separately) to help you or your teen/young adult thrive:
1. Therapeutic Coaching (Ages 12-25)
Hands-on support in real-world settings
We work together in your home, community, or wherever your young person needs support—not just in an office. We focus on:
Social skills - Making friends, joining conversations, navigating peer relationships
Life skills & independence - Cooking, budgeting, transportation, self-care, job skills
Daily routines - Managing responsibilities, homework, organizational systems
Emotional regulation - Recognizing triggers, using coping strategies in the moment
Community navigation - Accessing resources, participating in activities
Confidence building - Succeeding in real situations, not just talking about them
What makes this different: We don't just talk about skills, we practice them in real time, in real places. Progress happens when support fits naturally into daily life.
2. Executive Function (EF) Coaching (Ages 10+ Including Adults)
Building the "how" of getting things done
Executive function skills are the mental processes that help us plan, organize, start tasks, stay focused, and follow through. When these skills are weak, everything feels harder. We work on:
Planning & organization - Breaking big tasks into manageable steps
Task initiation - Getting started without getting stuck
Time management - Understanding time, estimating duration, using schedules
Working memory - Remembering multi-step instructions
Flexible thinking - Adapting when plans change
Emotional regulation - Managing frustration when things get hard
What makes this different: EF coaching isn't therapy or tutoring—it's skill-building that makes school, work, and daily life actually manageable.
Good for: Students struggling with homework, young adults overwhelmed by work or college tasks, anyone who feels "stuck" despite being capable.
3. Safe & Sound Protocol (SSP | All Ages)
Nervous system regulation through filtered music
SSP is an evidence-based listening program developed by Dr. Stephen Porges based on Polyvagal Theory. It uses specially filtered music to help your nervous system feel safe, which makes everything else easier.
SSP helps with:
Anxiety and hypervigilance
Sensory sensitivities
Difficulty with transitions or change
Social engagement challenges
Attention and focus
Emotional regulation
Stress response
How it works: You listen to filtered music through headphones for short sessions. The music stimulates the vagus nerve, helping your nervous system shift from "survival mode" to "safe and social mode."
What makes this different: SSP works at the nervous system level—helping you feel calmer, safer, and more regulated before we even try to build other skills.
Good for: Anyone who feels constantly on edge, anxious, or overwhelmed; teens with sensory sensitivities; young adults who struggle to feel safe enough to engage socially.
4. Skill-Building Groups
Connect with peers while building real skills
Sometimes the best learning happens in a group—where you realize you're not alone, where you practice skills with peers, and where you build friendships with people who actually understand.
Current and rotating group offerings include:
Minecraft Ages 7-11
Minecraft Ages 12-18
D&D One Shot Ages 12-18
Girls Creative Art Empowerment Ages 12+
What makes groups special:
You're not alone - Meet others facing similar challenges
Practice with peers - Real social situations, not just role-play with an adult
Build community - Make actual friends, not just "group members"
Cost-effective - More affordable than one-on-one support
Natural generalization - Skills practiced with peers transfer better to real life
Group sizes: Small (4-8 participants) for meaningful connection and individual attention
With Therapeutic Coaching, imagine your young person:
Confidently navigating social situations and making friends
Managing their daily routines independently
Using coping strategies when things get tough—not just melting down
Trying new things without fear holding them back
Taking the bus, managing money, cooking, handling job responsibilities—building real independence
With EF Coaching, imagine:
Starting homework or work tasks without a 45-minute battle
Breaking down big projects into steps without panic
Managing a schedule and remembering what is needed
Staying focused long enough to finish tasks
Adapting when plans change without falling apart
Feeling capable, finally know how to get things done
With SSP, imagine:
Feeling calmer and less on edge throughout the day
Sensory sensitivities that don't derail every outing
Transitioning between activities without resistance
Being present in conversations and social situations
Reduced anxiety without constantly fighting it
A nervous system that feels safe enough to learn and grow
With Groups, imagine:
Looking forward to group days because "these people get me"
Making actual friends, not just "group acquaintances"
Practicing social skills in a safe environment before trying them in the real world
Realizing they're not the only one who struggles
Building confidence through shared experiences and peer support
Having a community—not feeling so alone anymore
These aren't separate goals, they work together. When the nervous system feels safe (SSP), you can learn executive function skills (EF Coaching) and engage with peers (Groups). When you have the skills (EF + Therapeutic Coaching), you can build independence and confidence. When you have community (Groups), you practice skills with people who matter.
That's what we're working toward together.
Hi, I'm Rebecca
I became a therapist, coach, and group facilitator because I believe every person deserves to feel capable, connected, and calm, and that happens through practical skill-building, nervous system regulation, and genuine connection with peers.
My background includes:
Currently completing my Master of Social Work (MSW)
Years of experience supporting teens, young adults, and families
Specialized training in executive function coaching
Safe & Sound Protocol Certified Provider
Extensive experience facilitating therapeutic groups
Deep understanding of how nervous system regulation affects everything else
Part of the InnerWorks multidisciplinary team
What drives my work:
I've worked with many capable people who were stuck, not because they couldn't learn, but because their nervous system wouldn't let them feel safe enough to try, because no one taught them how to organize their thoughts and manage their time, or because they were isolated and had nowhere to practice social skills with peers who understood.
My job is to help you (or your young person):
Feel regulated enough to learn (SSP)
Build the executive function skills that make daily life manageable (EF Coaching)
Practice real-world skills in real situations (Therapeutic Coaching)
Connect with peers and reduce isolation (Groups)
The magic happens when these work together: A regulated nervous system + practical skills + peer connection = lasting confidence and independence.
I work as part of the InnerWorks team, which means you benefit from our collaborative approach. I'm supervised and supported by experienced clinicians, and we can coordinate with other services you might be using—whether that's therapy, school support, or medical care.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
Let's talk about it! In your free consultation, we'll discuss what's happening and I'll recommend the best starting point. Sometimes it's one service, sometimes it's a combination. For example, if your young person is anxious AND struggling with organization AND isolated, we might start with SSP to regulate their nervous system, add EF coaching once they're calmer, and suggest a social skills group to build peer connections.
-
Absolutely! In fact, they often work beautifully together. Many young people do a combination—like individual EF coaching plus a social skills group, or SSP followed by therapeutic coaching, or individual support combined with group participation. I'll help you figure out the right combination and timing.
-
Individual coaching is personalized, one-on-one support focused on your specific goals and challenges. Groups bring together 4-8 peers working on similar skills—you learn from each other, practice with peers, and build community. Individual support is more customized and intensive. Groups are more social, cost-effective, and reduce isolation. Many young people benefit from both.
-
Absolutely! Many of my clients are young adults navigating college, first jobs, living independently, or just trying to manage adult responsibilities. EF coaching is particularly helpful for young adults juggling work, school, or household management. Therapeutic coaching can help with life skills, budgeting, job skills, and independence. SSP helps with anxiety and regulation. And groups create peer connection during a stage of life when many people feel isolated.
-
Absolutely! Many young adults (18-25) work with me independently. EF coaching helps with managing college coursework, job responsibilities, household management, and adult life. Therapeutic coaching can help with life skills like cooking, budgeting, and community navigation. SSP helps with anxiety and regulation. And groups provide peer connection during a stage when many young adults feel isolated. They can access services on their own—your involvement is optional and based on their preferences.
The Best of Both Worlds
Here's what I've learned: Some skills are best learned one-on-one. Others are best learned in a group. The magic happens when you combine them.
Individual coaching is ideal for:
Personalized skill-building at your own pace
Working on skills in your actual life (home, community)
Addressing specific challenges unique to you
Building confidence before trying things with peers
Intensive focus on executive function or life skills
Groups are ideal for:
Realizing you're not alone, others struggle too
Practicing social skills with actual peers, not just adults
Building genuine friendships with people who understand
Learning from others' strategies and experiences
Cost-effective skill practice
Creating community and reducing isolation
Together, they create something powerful:
Build skills individually → Practice with peers in group → Transfer to real life with confidence
Regulate nervous system with SSP → Learn EF skills individually → Practice in group setting
Work on social skills one-on-one → Try them out in safe group → Use them in the real world
You don't have to do both, but many people benefit from the combination.
Ready to Feel Capable, Confident, and Connected?
You don't have to figure this out alone. Whether it's therapeutic coaching, executive function coaching, Safe & Sound Protocol, groups, or a combination—let's find the right path forward.
