Therapist focusing on children’s therapy, play therapy, autism and perinatal mental health.

"You and your child can thrive, with the right support."

When your child is overwhelmed by big emotions, traditional approaches may not feel like enough. Whether your child is neurodivergent, experiencing anxiety, autism-related challenges, ADHD, behavioural difficulties, or emotional dysregulation, you want support from someone who truly understands how they experience the world.

Parenting through these challenges can feel exhausting and isolating. You may also be navigating your own stress, burnout, or emotional overwhelm during pregnancy, postpartum, or early parenthood. With the right therapeutic support, both you and your child can build resilience, connection, and confidence.

As Donald Winnicott said, “It is in playing and only in playing that the individual child or adult is able to be creative and to use the whole personality.”

With over 10 years of clinical experience as a researcher, play therapist, early childhood educator, clinical psychologist, behavioural coach, and parent coach, Hadis brings a compassionate and highly specialized approach to supporting children and families. She has extensive experience working with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADHD, developmental delays, anxiety, trauma, sensory sensitivities, emotional regulation challenges, and parent-child relationship concerns.

Hadis focuses on children’s therapy, play therapy, autism support, parent coaching, and perinatal mental health care for families across Ontario. She works with children from early childhood through adolescence using child-centered, attachment-based, and play-based therapy approaches that help children safely express emotions, develop coping skills, and strengthen emotional resilience.

In addition to supporting children, Hadis offers parent coaching to help caregivers feel more confident navigating behaviour challenges, emotional regulation, sleep concerns, developmental milestones, and family stress. She collaborates closely with parents to provide practical tools, emotional support, and strategies that align with each child’s unique needs and strengths.

Hadis also provides compassionate perinatal mental health support for individuals navigating pregnancy, postpartum adjustment, maternal anxiety, overwhelm, identity changes, and the emotional transition into parenthood. Her warm, collaborative approach creates a safe space where parents feel supported without judgment.

Families appreciate Hadis for her calming presence, deep understanding of neurodivergence, and ability to build strong therapeutic relationships with both children and caregivers. She believes every child deserves to feel understood, empowered, and emotionally safe.

Frequently Asked Question

  • Neurodivergent-affirming therapy honors how your child's brain works rather than trying to make them fit neurotypical expectations. Hadis focuses on building on your child's strengths, teaching regulation skills that work for their nervous system, and helping them thrive as their authentic selves. Play-based approaches are especially effective because they meet children where they are developmentally.

  • Play therapy for autistic children focuses on building communication skills, emotional regulation, social understanding, and coping strategies, all through play, which is a child's natural language. Hadis adapts play therapy techniques to honor your child's sensory needs, communication style, and interests, making therapy both effective and enjoyable.

  • Hadis works with children from early childhood through adolescence. Her extensive background includes early childhood education, so she's experienced with very young children, as well as older children and teens navigating more complex developmental and emotional challenges.

  • Absolutely! Hadis believes parents are crucial partners in therapy. She'll teach you practical strategies for supporting your child's emotional regulation, managing challenging behaviors, and fostering their development between sessions. You'll feel more confident and empowered in your parenting.

  • While Hadis can identify areas of concern and provide therapeutic support, formal diagnostic assessments for developmental delays or autism are typically conducted by psychologists or developmental pediatricians. Hadis can help connect you with appropriate assessment resources if needed and provide therapy and strategies regardless of diagnostic status.
