Help Your Child or Teen Build the Skills They Need to Thrive Hands-on support that meets your young person where they are—building confidence, independence, and real-world skills in their everyday life.

Hi, I'm Fatima

I became a therapeutic coach because I believe every young person deserves support that actually fits their life—not generic strategies that don't account for who they really are and what they're actually navigating.

My background includes:

  • Bachelor of Psychology

  • Currently completing Bachelor of Social Work at King's University College (Spring 2026)

  • Years of hands-on experience supporting children and adults with disabilities and diverse needs

  • Specialized experience working with neurodiverse youth and young adults

  • Part of the InnerWorks multidisciplinary team

What drives my work:

I've seen too many capable young people struggle not because they can't manage—but because they haven't had the right support in the right spaces. My job is to help them discover what actually works, build practical routines and skills in their everyday life, and gain the confidence to handle what comes next.

I work as part of the InnerWorks team, which means your young person benefits from our collaborative approach. I'm supervised by experienced clinicians, and we can coordinate with other services your family might be using—whether that's therapy, school support, or other programs.

Is Your Young Person Drowning in the Day-to-Day?

You've noticed the signs:

  • Mornings are chaos, getting ready, remembering what they need, just starting feels like a battle

  • They can't seem to hold it all in their head: homework, chores, routines, what comes next

  • When plans change or something unexpected happens, they fall apart

  • They're smart and capable, but managing their own life feels impossible

  • You're exhausted from reminding, organizing, and problem-solving for them

  • They want to be independent but don't know how to actually do it

  • They're frustrated with themselves because they feel like they're failing at things that should be easy

You know your young person is more than capable. The problem isn't their intelligence or effort!

They need someone who gets it. Someone will support them them build routines that stick. Someone who meets them where they are, not where they're "supposed to be."

Practical Support That Happens Right Where Life Happens

I'm Fatima, and I work with young people (ages 12-18) in the places they actually live, at home, in the community, or wherever their real challenges show up.

Through one-on-one therapeutic coaching, we work together on:

  • Building routines and systems that actually stick (not ones that look good on paper but fall apart Monday morning)

  • Breaking down tasks into manageable steps so they feel less overwhelming

  • Developing independence, from managing their own schedule to handling transitions when plans change

  • Building the confidence that comes from doing something successfully

  • Learning what works for them and their life, not what's supposed to work

What makes this different?
I don't sit across from your young person in an office and talk about what they should be doing. We work through it together, in their real life. If managing morning routines is the struggle, we figure it out during morning routines. If organizing homework is the problem, we solve it while they're actually doing homework. If they need help planning their week, we do it together in real time.

I create a strengths-based approach that builds on what they're already good at—and targets the specific gaps that are making their life harder. Whether your young person is neurodivergent, has a disability, or just needs practical skill support, the goal is the same: help them feel capable and in control.

We work as a team: me, your young person, and you. Real progress happens when support fits naturally into daily life

Not perfection, just progress, confidence, and your young person feeling capable in their own life.

Getting Started Is Simple

Step 1: Free Consultation
Set up a free consultation with our client care coordinator and we will talk about what's happening and whether therapeutic coaching is the right fit for your child or teen. No pressure, just conversation about what they need and how we can help.

Step 2: Create a Personalized Plan
We'll work with you and your young person to identify goals and create a treatment plan that makes sense for your family. We'll focus on what matters most to you.

Step 3: Get Started
Your coach will begin meeting regularly—in your home, in the community, at school, or wherever makes the most sense for the skills we're building. Progress happens naturally when support fits into real life.

Real Progress Looks Like This

Imagine your young person:

  • Waking up and getting ready for school without you having to remind them five times

  • Actually knowing what they need to do and how to do it, without you managing every step

  • Handling a change in plans without completely shutting down

  • Organizing their own homework, remembering their responsibilities, keeping track of their week

  • Feeling capable instead of constantly frustrated with themselves

  • Asking for help when they need it, instead of giving up

  • Moving through their day with a little less chaos and a little more confidence

That's what we're working toward together. Not perfection, just progress, confidence, and your young person feeling capable in their own life.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Therapy helps your young person process emotions, work through deeper challenges, and understand why they feel the way they do. Coaching is different, it's action-focused and practical. With me, we're building systems, routines, and skills that help your young person actually manage their day. We're solving the "how" problem: how do I get ready in the morning? How do I organize my homework? How do I handle it when plans change? It's less about talking through problems and more about building solutions together in real life.

  • That's actually really common, and it's something we address together. Often, young people resist because they've experienced "help" as nagging or criticism. My approach is different because we're working with them, not at them. In our first session, we figure out what's actually frustrating them and what they actually want to change. When they see that this is about making their life easier (not about meeting someone else's standards), they usually come around. Plus, you're part of the team, we coordinate with you about what's working and what isn't, which helps everything stick better at home.

  • You'll see it in daily life, your child trying things they used to avoid, managing situations that used to end in meltdowns, or independently doing things they used to need help with. I'll also provide regular updates and we'll track progress toward the goals we set together. You're part of the team, so you'll always know what we're working on and how it's going.
