Job description

We're seeking an enthusiastic and organized Front Desk Specialist to join our team for the summer. This role combines client-facing hospitality with creative digital content creation and administrative support. You'll be the first point of contact for our clients while also helping to strengthen our online presence and support daily operations.

Client Experience (40%)

  • Greet clients warmly as they arrive at our office

  • Provide exceptional customer service in person, by phone, and via email

  • Ensure our welcoming space reflects our values of care and professionalism

  • Support client check-in processes and maintain a comfortable waiting area

Social Media & Digital Content (40%)

  • Create engaging visual content using Canva (images and videos)

  • Schedule and post content across Meta platforms (Facebook and Instagram)

  • Develop and implement a social media content plan

  • Monitor engagement and respond to comments/messages

  • Help increase our social media presence and community engagement

Administrative Support (20%)

  • Provide general administrative assistance to the operations team

  • Maintain organized filing systems (digital and physical)

  • Support various office projects as needed

  • Assist with coordination of team communications

Skills You'll Develop

Through this position, you will gain experience in:

  • Communication: Professional written and verbal communication with clients and team members

  • Digital Skills: Social media management, content creation tools, and Google Suite applications

  • Creativity and Innovation: Developing engaging content that connects with our community

  • Adaptability: Responding to the varied needs of a mental health practice environment

  • Collaboration: Working with a multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals

  • Technical Skills: Office technology, scheduling systems, and digital marketing tools

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of employment

  • Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person with refugee protection

  • Valid Social Insurance Number

  • Legally entitled to work in Canada

Preferred Qualifications & Assets

  • Experience with or interest in social media content creation

  • Familiarity with Canva or similar design tools

  • Knowledge of Google Suite (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets)

  • Blog writing or content writing experience

  • Understanding of SEO principles

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Friendly, professional demeanor

  • Interest in mental health services and supporting community wellness

$17.60 per hour

Expected hours: 

Monday - Thursday 12:00-830PM
Friday 830-5:00PM

Schedule:

Set schedule for 8 weeks
7.5 hour shifts
