Nelly Ladan, MSW, RSW
Therapist supporting individuals, families, and culturally diverse communities through life's challenges and transitions.
Life can feel overwhelming when you're carrying the weight of family responsibilities, cultural expectations, relationship struggles, or experiences that others may not fully understand. Maybe you're feeling disconnected from yourself, navigating a difficult transition, struggling with stress or anxiety, or trying to support your family while feeling depleted yourself.
You may be searching for a space where you don't have to explain every part of your identity, culture, or lived experience before you can begin healing. A space where you feel seen, heard, and understood. When life feels heavy, it can be difficult to know where to start—or how to move forward.
Nelly is passionate about supporting individuals and families as they navigate life's challenges while recognizing the powerful role that relationships, community, culture, and identity play in wellbeing. Drawing on her experience in childcare, case management, and anti-bias work, she works with people from diverse backgrounds, cultures, and stages of life to create meaningful and lasting change.
As a bilingual woman of African descent, Nelly brings a culturally responsive perspective to her work and incorporates Afrocentric principles when appropriate. This holistic, relationship-centered approach acknowledges the impact of ancestry, culture, spirituality, family patterns, and traditional healing practices on personal growth and wellbeing. Nelly believes that every person's journey is unique and collaborates closely with clients to develop treatment plans that honour their strengths, experiences, and goals.
Reaching out for support can feel like a significant step, but you don't have to navigate life's challenges alone. Whether you're working through personal struggles, family concerns, cultural identity questions, or major life transitions, Nelly provides a compassionate and welcoming space where healing, growth, and connection can begin.
