Hi, I’m Natalie. Every child deserves to feel engaged, capable, and part of their community. I’m here to help.

I became a therapeutic coach because I believe that support shouldn't just happen within four walls, it needs to happen where life happens. My passion is helping children and families navigate challenges by creating individualized paths to success that honor each child's unique needs and strengths.

My Background and Expertise

  • Education: Graduated from the Child and Youth Counsellor program at Fanshawe College (2018).

  • Experience: Years of experience in children’s mental health orgnizations including their live-in treatment program, collaborating with families and community partners to implement individualized treatment plans.

  • Community Support: Extensive experience providing 1:1 respite care for children with high needs, facilitating their participation in community programs.

  • Specialized Programming: Expert in creating inclusive and engaging summer camp programming for children on the autism spectrum, ensuring they feel part of the group while receiving tailored support.

What drives my work: I’ve seen how transformative it is when a child is given the right tools to participate fully in their world. Whether it’s navigating a community space for the first time or finding a way to feel successful in a group setting, my goal is to help your child build the confidence to take on new experiences. I focus on "meeting them where they are" to turn overwhelming situations into manageable, successful steps.

Here's How We'll Work Together

Meeting Them Where They Are

I start by understanding your child’s current level and how they experience everyday challenges. We look at the goals of your individual family and identify starting points that feel safe and achievable.

  • Your child may feel unsure how to join in with peers.

  • They may feel overwhelmed by the expectations of community programs.

  • We choose small "wins" to begin building immediate confidence.

I teach through practice.

I teach through practice in real-life situations, whether that’s at home, at camp, or in the community. Learning happens by doing, not just talking.

  • We practice one skill at a time in the environment where it’s needed.

  • We break complex social or community tasks into small, manageable steps.

  • We use repetition and 1:1 support until the skill feels natural and comfortable.

You see progress.

You see progress as your child becomes more comfortable and capable in their daily life.

  • Your child begins to engage more independently in community and social programs.

  • They rely less on constant adult intervention and more on their own coping tools.

  • They feel a sense of belonging and pride in their growing abilities.
