Respite and Support Workers
What is Respite?
Respite provides community-based support for children, youth, and young adults. Over the past several years, many young people have experienced gaps in life skills, social skills, and community engagement. InnerWorks Counselling is pleased to offer one-on-one support to help individuals and families.
Respite is eligible for funding through Passport funding, SSAH, and other financial assistance programs.
Who is respite for
Our respite program is specially designed for youth and young adults (ages 12–25) who need a little support. Whether it’s learning essential life skills, building meaningful social connections, or gaining the confidence to navigate daily responsibilities, our team meet each client where they’re at and provides services at home, at school, or out in the community.
We offer personalized, strengths-based support for both neurodiverse and neurotypical individuals. Every relationship is built around the client’s unique goals, challenges, and potential, because independence doesn’t look the same for everyone, and growth should never be one-size-fits-all.
What to Expect:
To begin, clients and/or their parents will attend a 90-minute intake appointment with our Program Coordinator. During this session, we’ll explore current needs, challenges, and goals for growth. Together, the Program Coordinator and family will develop a clear treatment plan and carefully match the client with a therapeutic coach or support worker who can provide personalized support and guidance throughout their journey.
Intake
90-minute intake session with the Program Coordinator (RSW, MSW) $240

The rate for sessions in London, Ontario, is $180 for a 3-hour session, with additional hours at $60 per hour.

Normal transportation is included in the rate. Extensive travel (e.g., out-of-town trips) is subject to additional charges.

Session Frequency:
Every coaching relationship is built around the client’s unique goals, challenges, and potential, because independence doesn’t look the same for everyone, and growth should never be one-size-fits-all.
Most clients participate in weekly coaching sessions.
Some opt for more frequent sessions, while others prefer bi-weekly coaching.
Personalized Treatment Planning
At InnerWorks, we understand that every individual has unique goals and abilities, which is why we create customized treatment plans tailored to each client’s needs.
Collaborative Approach: The treatment plan is developed by the program coordinator for new clients, and therapists for existing clients in collaboration with the therapeutic coach.
Goal-Oriented Strategy: The treatment plan outlines client and family goals along with strategies to achieve them.
Flexible & Evolving: The treatment plan is a fluid document that adapts as the client’s needs evolve.
