Pokémon Go Adventure
Ages 7-18
Turn screen time into real-world friendship and exercise with Southwestern Ontario’s premier youth group providers. This low-pressure, therapist-led single session hooks kids and teens using their favorite game, bringing them out of indoor isolation and onto the pavement to conquer Pokémon Gyms, coordinate Raid Battles, and build authentic peer connections. Guided by multiple facilitators to ensure same-age grouping, participants naturally practice communication and emotional regulation, and if the weather turns, the adventure safely pivots indoors to strategic, card-based Pokémon gameplay so the connection never stops.

Utilizing high-interest activities like board games, LEGO, and guided interactive play, the program helps children manage social anxiety and navigate peer dynamics without the pressure of a long-term commitment. It is open to all children, including tailored activities that explicitly support individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in improving cooperation and communication.

By embedding evidence-based interventions into collaborative gameplay, a trained therapist guides participants through hands-on scenarios that naturally build essential communication, teamwork, and emotional regulation skills. It is an ideal setting for London, Ontario kids to transform their favorite digital hobby into lasting real-world friendships and social confidence.
