Vibe & Connect

Does Your Teen Feel Left Out or Struggle to Connect?

Help Them Build Confidence and Real Friendships

If your 11-14 year old struggles with social anxiety, feels left out, or just needs a safe place to practice connecting with peers, Vibe & Connect gives them exactly that.

Led by a Registered Social Worker, this monthly group helps youth build social skills naturally, through LEGO®, games, art, and just hanging out together.

No pressure. Just connection.

Here's How It Works

Show up once a month. Second Sunday, 2:00-3:30 PM at our London office.
Choose what feels right. Build with LEGO®, play board games, create art, or team up on Nintendo Switch. Your teen picks what's comfortable.
Build skills while having fun. Our trained facilitator creates a welcoming space where teens practice conversation, collaboration, and just being themselves.
Register session by session. No long-term commitment. Try one session and see how it feels.

Still Not Sure If This Is Right for Your Teen?

This group is ideal if your child:

  • Wants to develop or practice social skills in a supportive setting

  • Feels anxious in social situations or has trouble making friends

  • Is neurodivergent (including teens with ADHD, ASD who would benefit from communication and turn-taking practice)

  • Just needs a regular space to connect with peers and feel like they belong

Social skills don't develop in isolation. Without practice and support, many teens retreat further, and the gap grows wider.

  • Without support, social anxiety often worsens through the teen years

  • Feeling left out now can impact confidence well into adulthood

  • The longer your teen goes without connection, the harder it gets

Frequently asked questions (FAQ’s)

  • This group is perfect if your teen:

    • Struggles with social anxiety or feels left out

    • Wants to practice social skills in a low-pressure environment

    • Is neurodivergent (including teens with ADHD, ADD, and ASD)

    • Just needs a safe space to connect with peers

We welcome both neurotypical and neurodivergent youth. Our facilitator creates an inclusive, neurodiversity-affirming space where every teen can be themselves.

  • That's completely normal, and exactly why we created this group.

There's no pressure to perform or "be social" in a certain way. Teens choose activities that feel comfortable (building with LEGO®, playing games, creating art). Our Registered Social Worker creates a welcoming space where your teen can ease in at their own pace.

Many teens who start nervous leave feeling like they found "their people."

  • Nope. Register session by session, no long-term commitment required.

Try one session. If your teen loves it, keep coming back. If it's not the right fit, no problem.

  • 2:00 PM Teens arrive and choose from activities: LEGO® sets, board games, card games, art supplies, Nintendo Switch, or just chatting

2:00-3:15 PM Teens engage in activities together while our facilitator gently guides conversation, collaboration, and connection (we provide snacks!)

3:15-3:30 PM Wrap-up and transition home

The vibe: Relaxed, fun, and supportive. Think: hanging out with friends, but with a trained guide making sure everyone feels included.

  • Absolutely. This isn't a rigid curriculum.

Teens choose what they want to do each session. If they want to just chat while building LEGO®, great. If they want to dive into a board game, perfect. If they need some quiet creative time first, that works too.

Our facilitator follows your teen's lead.

  • Not necessarily, and even if they are, our facilitator makes sure everyone feels welcome.

We get new teens joining throughout the year. Part of what makes this group valuable is learning to navigate new social situations in a supportive setting.

  • The group is designed for ages 11-14, and we've found this range works well because:

    • Activities appeal across ages (LEGO®, games, creative projects)

    • Mixed ages help younger teens learn from older peers

    • Our facilitator ensures no one feels left out regardless of age

If you're concerned about fit, email us at hello@innerworkslondon.com and we can chat about your specific situation.

  • Both,and that's what makes it powerful.

It's a therapeutic social group led by a Registered Social Worker. Your teen gets to practice real social skills in a fun, natural setting while having clinical support when needed.

Think of it as: therapy skills, but your teen is just having fun or just hanging out.

  • Yes! This group is open to both current InnerWorks clients and new families.

  • You'll notice:

    • They want to come back

    • They mention something fun that happened

    • They're a little more confident in social situations

    • They start using phrases like "my friend from group"

After a few sessions, you can also email our facilitator to check in on your teen's progress.
