Meet Jessica
Jessica has a passion for supporting children and families to develop skills to enhance emotional regulation and help foster resilience. Jessica utilizes various therapeutic approaches, including play therapy, cognitive-behaviour therapy, and solution focused therapy.
Jessica says
Childhood can be a particularly difficult time as children attempt to navigate personal development, manage big emotions, adjust to environmental changes and deal with adversity. Given this, it’s natural for children to become overwhelmed and need some extra support. Together, we will work to navigate these challenging emotions, negative thought patterns, and behaviours which impact children’s mental health and wellness.
Within my work, I incorporate various therapeutic approaches to fit each individuals’ unique needs. I believe that each person arrives to therapy with existing strengths and resources. Through a strengths-based approach, we will draw upon these existing strengths and develop new ways of navigating challenges. I am committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and comfortable environment where children feel heard, validated, and free to express themselves.
I believe in the importance and value of an authentic therapeutic relationship and strive to work collaboratively with families to support the progress of their child.
I look forward to working with you and your family!
