Meet Caroline
Caroline is a Registered Social Worker who helps older teens and young adults with everything from general life stress to social anxiety to big life transitions and adulting. Caroline loves seeing people take control over their lives, have confidence in their own ability to make big decisions, and live a life that is meaningful.
Caroline says:
Life can be just plain hard sometimes. Between constant pivoting in the world of school and work, deciding what to do with your life, and friendships that suddenly feel different as you move towards the "adult world". It can feel overwhelming to have to deal with all of these things.
Maybe you used to be able to cope with these things well enough. But as time goes on, and the stresses pile up, those coping strategies might not be working for you anymore. The voice of your Inner Critic keeps growing louder, and you find yourself avoiding situations that you used to be able to handle. You might even be feeling burnt out and losing important relationships.
I want you to feel in control of your life again - at least the parts you're able to control! Part of our work will simply be discovering what you do have control over and what you don't, and learning to live with that. Life will always be full of changes; some good, some not so much. But you don't have to do the hard parts alone.
In our work together, we'll work as a team to figure out your goals for therapy, identify the sources of your stress and difficulties, and then use very effective tools to start making changes. We'll work on your unhelpful beliefs about yourself, negative thought patterns, and changing behaviours to help you start feeling better as soon as possible. I'll be your guide to get you on the right path so that you can start living a life that feels right for you.
