Therapist specializing in Perinatal Mental Health, Anxiety, & Trauma

"From overwhelm to feeling like yourself again."

You're overwhelmed, anxious, and losing yourself. Whether navigating pregnancy, drowning in postpartum anxiety, or struggling with trauma and life transitions, you thought you could handle this, but the weight is crushing.

The constant worry, feeling like you're failing, the exhaustion from anxiety or past trauma stealing your peace, it's not fair that major life transitions and difficult experiences come without better support or healing.

As a former registered midwife who supported families through pregnancy and birth for five years, Alison understands the physical and emotional realities of vulnerable seasons. She's walked alongside people during their most difficult moments and knows what you're feeling is real, valid, and treatable.

Alison specializes in helping adults (16+) navigate pregnancy and postpartum depression and anxiety, she also helps adults (16+) with anxiety disorders, depression, trauma, burnout, grief, relationship challenges, and major life transitions. Using trauma-informed approaches including Internal Family Systems (IFS), CBT, DBT, ACT, and trauma processing techniques like ReWind and Flash, she'll help you develop coping strategies that actually work.

Known for her calm, grounding presence, Alison creates a safe space to explore challenges without pressure to be perfect. Together, you'll reconnect with your strengths and move toward the balance and wellbeing you deserve.

Frequently Asked questions

  • Many people find that the right fit with a therapist makes all the difference. Alison's unique background as a midwife gives her deep insight into the mind-body connection during vulnerable life seasons. She uses evidence-based trauma processing techniques like ReWind and Flash that go beyond traditional talk therapy, helping you process difficult experiences at a deeper level.

  • No! While Alison specializes in perinatal mental health, she also works with adults experiencing anxiety, trauma, burnout, and life transitions. Her midwife background helps her understand how our bodies and minds respond during any vulnerable or transitional season.

  • Postpartum depression often includes persistent sadness, hopelessness, difficulty bonding with baby, and loss of interest in things you used to enjoy. Postpartum anxiety involves excessive worry (often about baby's safety), racing thoughts, physical symptoms like heart palpitations, difficulty sleeping even when baby sleeps, and intrusive thoughts. Many people experience both together. Both are treatable.

  • Everyone's timeline is different. Some clients feel relief within 4-6 sessions, while others benefit from longer-term support. Alison works collaboratively with you to set goals and regularly check in on progress.

  • If you're wondering whether you need help, that's often a sign that support could be beneficial. You don't need to be in crisis to benefit from therapy. Whether you're drowning or just treading water, you deserve support to feel like yourself again.
