When you first started thinking about starting a family, you didn’t imagine it would be quite like this. You might have imagined baby showers, play groups, and sitting in Starbucks with your friends and their babies.
Life now looks quite a bit different.
You might be feeling hesitant or even scared to let anyone near your new baby. Disagreements with family members and friends about what your comfort level with introducing your little one to new people can lead to some relational discomfort.
You might find that you’re second-guessing yourself and your decisions, worrying about whether your baby is okay. Worrying about whether you are okay.
People say you should enjoy this phase of life. Soak up every moment. The truth? Not every moment is enjoyable! Whether you have a new baby, or older kids, motherhood can be exhausting and overwhelming. You're done with feeling bad.
