Managing the Mental Load

Do you and your partner struggle with feeling connected while managing the busyness of day to day life? Through our experience as individual and couples therapists we have noticed that what can keep couples feeling distant is the constant to- do list to keep your household running smoothly. We noticed that while couples often can pinpoint that they argue about chores, about whose turn it is to register the kids for soccer or that they "scorekeep" who is doing more, the couples and individuals we see struggle to talk about these issues and implement sustainable solutions for their family

We designed the Managing the Mental Load Course with these couples in mind! The Managing the Mental Load Course is a completely free webinar and workbook series. This course will teach you and your partner concrete tools to be able to improve your communication and to be able to talk about how to effectively and efficiently divide the tasks in your home so it feels more equitable to both partners. This course is intended for couples to complete together for approximately one hour per week for three weeks. We hope that by dedicating about a month to practicing and implementing these strategies that this can help your household run smoothly and help you feel connected with your partner. 

The webinars and associated activities are based upon our experience as couples and individual therapists , as well as the leading evidence around division of the mental load and methods of effective communication for couples.
